Lisa Gay Norman

Lisa Gay Norman
December 3, 1960 ~ April 24, 2025

Beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister entered her eternal resting place on April 24, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. Lisa was born on December 3, 1960, in Pawnee, OK, to Francis “Jack” Norman and Madelyn Horse Chief Eagle Norman.

Lisa attended Chilocco and Sequoyah Indian Schools; after graduating from school, Lisa started her family and made her home in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. Lisa worked for several of the area tribes but was currently working as the Higher Education Director for the Tonkawa Tribe of Oklahoma. Lisa was a member of the Tonkawa Tribe Scalp Dance Society, which she enjoyed dancing with. Lisa did the very best she could in every aspect of life. Lisa was bossy, strict, beautiful, and kind and could find humor in almost any situation. She was a fierce protector of those she loved, especially her grandchildren.

Lisa loved spending time with her kids, grandchildren, and sisters and going to the casino with the Wolf Pack. Lisa spent previous years coaching basketball and softball when her daughters were younger, which she loved. Lisa was a huge sports fanatic. She loved watching her favorite “Thunder” basketball team and was always ready for every March Madness Tournament. Lisa’s competitive side would always ensure creative games and activities for family birthdays, holidays, and gatherings.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are daughters Teya Roughface, Kianna and T’Neile DeLodge, and her one and only son, Keaton Calls Him all of Fort Oakland, Tonkawa, OK. Lisa had 14 grandchildren, 7 girls and 7 boys: Taryn, Kara, TySaa, Cochana, Kori, Thalys, Mason, Freemont, Keaton Jr, Sunflower, Karson, Khotah, Asher, and Sobie. Lisa had 6 sisters: Mickael “Miki,” Lauren, Jacquelyn ‘Jackie,” Mary, Stacey, and Sarah “Queenie” and numerous nieces, nephews, and their children who all adored and loved her tremendously.

Lisa was preceded in death by her Father, Francis “Jack” Norman, her mother, Madelyn Horse Chief Eagle Norman, and a brother, Charles “Erney” Norman.

A one-day service will be held at Pawnee Nation RoamChief Event Center in Pawnee, Oklahoma, at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 28, 2025. A private burial will take place at a later date.

Pall bearers will be son, nephews and grandsons.
