Frank Dennis Nichols

January 04, 1937 ~ May 12, 2017

Memorial services for Frank Dennis Nichols, 80, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Bro. Fred Greening and Ray Quiett will officiate.

Mr. Nichols died Friday, May 12, 2017 at a local hospital. He was born January 4, 1937 in Ada, Oklahoma to Benjamin Frank and Ruby Lee Easterling Nichols, and raised by his mother and step-father, Ray T. McGee II.

He married Leota Bernice McGregor on August 7, 1959 in Ada. He received his bachelor and master's degrees from East Central University and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1958.  Mr. Nichols retired as a Counselor Coordinator with the Oklahoma Department of Education.

Survivors include his wife, Leota of the home; one daughter, Danita Nichols Metzer and husband Timothy of Springer, OK; one sister, Nancy Lee Jarman and husband Lonnie of Edmond; three grandchildren, Ellea Peters, Reza Ranjbarian and Maliya Metzger; one great-grandson, Mason James and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Nichols; mother, Ruby McGee; step-father, Ray T. McGee II and a brother, Ray T. McGee, III.
