Beverly Jo (Evans) Newberry
December 11, 1945 ~ January 17, 2024

Beverly Jo Newberry, 78, of Blanchard, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, in Norman, surrounded by loving family. The daughter of Charlie Clifford Evans and Naomi Marie (Kiser) Evans, she was born December 11, 1945, in Beaver, Oklahoma.

Beverly grew up on the family farm in Turpin, Oklahoma, where she helped her father with the farmwork. She married Emory Glen Newberry on April 9, 1966, in Turpin, Oklahoma. Beverly worked as a hairdresser for over 30 years and loved visiting with her clients while they were in her chair. She was a member of The Methodist Church of Blanchard. For many years, she and her husband were “snowbirds” and enjoyed traveling to Texas in their fifth wheel during the winter. In her spare time, she loved spending time with her grandkids and attending their sporting events. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Naomi Evans; and one brother, Rodney Evans.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 57 years, Emory Newberry of Blanchard; one son, Dustin Newberry and his wife, Karie, of Blanchard; one daughter, Melanie Beckett and her husband, Bryce, of Halstead, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Kayla, Kyle, Kendall, Kennedi, Liam, Blake, and Madyson; one sister, Debbie Evans of Turpin; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 20, 2024, at The Methodist Church of Blanchard. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
