Nancy Elizabeth (French) Robinett Nelson

Nancy Elizabeth (French) Robinett Nelson
March 2, 1944 ~ July 7, 2020

Nancy Elizabeth (French) Robinett Nelson was born March 2, 1944, at St. Francis, KS, to Wayne and Elizabeth (Williams) French. She went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Enid, OK.

Growing up, the family moved around a lot and Nancy attended several schools. Later in life, she worked hard as a single mother, putting herself through college, completing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, and ultimately earning a Master's Degree in Social Work. Nancy became well known, respected and loved in the Department of Human Services, working in both Blaine and Garfield counties. She retired after many years as a Supervisor, yet continued advocating for children throughout her life. Nancy wore many hats: Mom, Sister, Aunt, Grammy, MiMi, and Friend. She had two daughters and three sons, but was Mom to more kids than she could count, including one very special little girl named Jazlyn. Nancy never knew a stranger and had an unconditional love for everyone she met, and she lived out her witness for Christ.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herb Nelson, brother Wendell French, daughter Carla and an infant daughter. Survivors include her sons, Michael Robinett of Checotah, OK, Keith Robinett and wife Rhonda of Canton, OK, Alan Robinett of Canton, OK, Daren Nelson and wife Krista of Hermitage, AR, daughter Traci Hefron and husband Tim of Parker, CO, daughter Heather Nelson of Oklahoma City, OK, sister Nora Lane and husband Roy of Belton, TX, brother Warren French and wife Jone of Rose Hill, KS, brother Jerry French and wife Katt of Forsythe, MO, sister Susan Cox and husband Gene of Thayer, KS, brother Keith French and wife Lisa of Longdale, OK, a large number of grandkids, nieces and nephews, and a host of "adopted" kids too numerous to list.

A private family service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2020, and may be viewed online on Facebook at the Pierce Funeral Home facebook page. In lieu of food or flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity or to Fresh Start Fellowship "Peace Island" to fund food for the Children's House in Monrovia, Liberia, with Pierce Funeral Home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 15, Fairview, OK 73737. Condolences may be made online at www.piercefuneralhomes.com.
