Melvin Jackson Nelson
June 12, 1943 ~ April 2, 2020

Melvin Jackson Nelson, 76, passed away on Thursday April 2, 2020 at Hillcrest hospital in Tulsa Oklahoma.

He was born to George Dallas Nelson and Sarah Lou (Walters) Nelson on June 12, 1943 in Nicut, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters, Ailene Jones, Maxine Brown, Nina Brown, Virginia Aronson, Ramona Sims, and Jerene Hoskinson: 2 brothers Bill Nelson and Dallas Nelson.

He survived by his wife Sherry Nelson of the home Stillwell Ok; his 4 daughters, Debbie and husband Roy Soap of Roland Ok; Angela (Ann) Nelson-Sevenstar of Roland Ok; Khristin Nelson fiance Derek Hamlin of Stillwell Ok; Katelyn Nelson companion Christopher Simpson of Stillwell Ok. 1 brother James Nelson and wife Anne: 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends.

Melvin was of the Assembly of God faith. He served his country proudly in the U S Army. Melvin was a construction and custodian worker. He enjoyed playing guitar, gospel singings, making people laugh and telling life stories.
