Bethany Ann (Bye) Nauman
January 18, 1955 ~ October 19, 2012

Bethany Ann Bye Nauman was born at Reese Air Base in Lubbock Texas on January 18, 1955 and passed from this world on October 19, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 25 at Meadowood Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Rutherford officiating.

Bethany was born to Don and Glenna Bye. Being an M.K. (military kid), she traveled a lot as a child. As a 1973 graduate, she was Miss Midwest City High School. She went on to Oklahoma State University, Colorado State University, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from University of Oklahoma with a degree in Geology. She went on to University of Utah where she received her Masters Degree in Geology.

She spent a summer in Nairobi, Kenya studying the geology of the Rift Valley. Her work was published in the journal Nature. Later, she worked for Kennecott Copper in Utah and spent a summer in Idaho working for United States Geological Service.

She is survived by two daughters, Grace and Claire, who live in Hanover, New Hampshire; her parents, Don and Glenna Bye; sisters Lori (Stan) Carroll and Lynda Keller; brother David; nephews David Bye; Cooper, Graham, Wyatt, Matt and Beckett Carroll; and niece Katherine Keller.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Meadowood Baptist Church.
