Cord James "CJ" Nation

Cord James "CJ" Nation
January 23, 1977 ~ October 08, 2019

Cord James "CJ" Nation passed away at his home on Oct. 8, 2019. CJ lived in Dibble, Oklahoma with his wife, Tia and children, Toby and Hadlie.

He was born in Nampa, Idaho to Dan and Kooki Nation. He made number four for Dan and Kooki joining older brothers, Scott and Daniel and sister Christy. When CJ was born, the family lived in Southeast Oregon near the Nevada border. They lived on a ranch where he grew up riding, roping and branding calves. When he was 8, they moved to Condon, OR.

CJ loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

On Nov 2, 2002, CJ married the love of his life, Tia. CJ and Tia started their journey together in Spray, OR then moved to Monument, OR in 2003. In 2004, they had their first child, Toby and in 2006 came their little girl, Hadlie.

CJ was a jack of many trades. He did everything from ranching and building fence, to welding and working in the oil fields in Oklahoma.

While in Monument, CJ and Tia lived on the Capon Cattle ranch working for Don Capon for 3 years. Then in 2012, CJ and Tia continued their journey moving to Dibble, OK, where he went to work for Environmental Drilling Solutions. His current job was at Covia, a sand mining company near Seiling, OK, where he worked as a Service Tech. CJ would live at his job site during the week and would travel home to his family on the weekend. His free time was dedicated to his family and friends. You would often find CJ at ballgames, where he would travel with his wife to cheer on their children. If he wasn’t at the ballfield, you could find him at home behind his grill doing what he loved next - cooking.

CJ was always the first to help out family, friends - even strangers. Wherever he saw a need, he would help - even if he had just finished a 12-hour shift. He put his own needs aside to make sure others were taken care of. He had such a giving heart.

CJ is survived by his wife, Tia son, Toby and daughter, Hadlie of Dibble, OK; a brother, Scott Nation and wife, Amy, and their children, Amanda, Buster, Katie and Jessie of Condon, OR; a sister, Christy Howell and her husband ,Sammy, and their son, DJ, of Monument, OR; a brother Dan Nation of Fruitland, ID. He is preceded in death by his dad, Dan Nation in 2000 and mom, Kooki Nation in 2015.

CJ impacted the lives of so many and will be truly missed.

Memorial Services for CJ will be held Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 2pm at the Warren Young Ranch located at 12234 210th St. Blanchard, OK. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
