Virginia L. (Rust) Nash
January 27, 1929 ~ May 19, 2018

Virginia L. Nash, resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Shawn Manor. She was 89 years old. 

A funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Tom Howard officiating. Virginia will be laid to rest on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Mountain Grove, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory. 

Virginia was born on January 27, 1929 to Virgil and Fern (Gladden) Rust in Houston, MO. She graduated from Cabool High School and then went to Southwest Missouri State. She married Nova D. Nash on February 15, 1950 in Cabool, MO. The couple moved to Ponca City in 1969. She worked in St. Paul's Nursery and Mother's Day Out for more than 20 years. Virginia also sang in the St. Paul's choir for many years as well. She babysat for numerous families and also took care of her mother, mother-in-law and husband while they were ill in their home. 

Virginia is survived by her son, J.D. Nash and wife Jeri Casey-Nash of Ponca City, grandsons, M.J. Nash and wife Teri of Newkirk, Michael Nash, Matthew Nash, granddaughter, Kacey Robinson, and six great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Fern Rust, her husband Nova Nash, son, Mike Nash, sister, Juanita Ferguson, brothers, Ralph Rust and Lyle Rust and great-grandson, Cody Nash.
