Barbara Sue (Hambrick) Nacke

Barbara Sue (Hambrick) Nacke
January 06, 1951 ~ January 18, 2022

Barbara Sue Nacke, 71, passed peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid, OK on January 18, 2022. Cremation arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

She requested to be cremated. A service to celebrate her life will be on Saturday, February 5, 2022 in the MBY youth building with Pastor Tavis Schmidt officiating.

Barbara was born in Abilene, TX on January 6, 1951. She grew up in Texas and California. Her family later settled in Mesa, AZ. On March 7, 1970 she married the love of her life, Donald Gregory Nacke. They were married for 44 years before he passed in 2015. Her heart remained his forever.

On July 28, 1971 while living in Mesa, AZ the two welcomed a baby girl, Heather. They later moved to Oklahoma. On February 3, 1978 while living in Taloga, Ok they welcomed another baby girl, Monica. The couple eventually settled in Fairview, OK.

Through the marriages of her daughters she gained two sons. Brian D. Scoggins married her daughter Heather, and Ryan D. Wahl married her daughter Monica. Barbara had the most amazing grandkids...Paige Nichole Williams (Brett), Tanner Jay Reihm, Skylar Ann Scoggins, Rylee Hunter Wahl (Josiah Nipper) and Abbey Marie Wahl. Of course any one who knew her was aware of the family’s newest addition. Her first great granddaughter, Little Miss Reece Renae Nipper (daughter of Rylee and Josiah) made her heart smile once again. She was also expecting her first great grandson in June 2022, Barrett Lee Williams (son of Paige and. Brett). Her heart was so full of love for all of them.

Barbara worked at the Motorola plant in Mesa, Az and then later held jobs at Fairview Fellowship Home, Dollar General and Holiday Laundry all in Fairview.

She loved a good Sonic drink, to read, to watch game shows, and to go to the casino. She was extremely active in Monica’s softball playing years. She always supported the grandkids’ activities throughout the years. She enjoyed “supervising” Donald on his side projects and honey-do lists. Honestly, she enjoyed “supervising” all of us. LOL She was an amazing role model. She was a strong woman and raised her girls and grandchildren to be strong. No doubt you knew where you stood with her. She will be deeply missed, but she has been reunited in Heaven with her one true love.

She was proceeded in death by her loving husband Donald Nacke in 2015, her parents (Johnny and Christine Hambrick), her in-laws (Louis and Bulah Nacke), two brothers (John Dearl Hambrick and Michael Hambrick), a sister (Kathy Marie Hambrick) and one brother-in-law (June Nacke).
