Joshua Kaleb Myers

Joshua Kaleb Myers
February 23, 1989 ~ December 11, 2019

Joshua left this world with his family by his side on December 11, 2019 to join his Heavenly Father. In our heartache of Josh’s passing he was able to bless numerous other families through his organ donations and it gives some comfort that we might be able to hear his heart once again.

Joshua Kaleb Myers was born to Kathy and Howard Myers on February 23, 1989 in Guthrie, OK. Josh attended Guthrie Public Schools until moving at the start of his senior year and graduated from Independence High School in Spring Hill, TN in 2007. After high school, Josh received his degree in Auto Body and Collison Repair.

Josh moved back to his hometown, Guthrie, OK and met his best friend and love of his life. Joshua and Cristina Wells were married on June 23, 2012. In this union two beautiful girls were born, Madilynn Renee and Arianna Kae. Josh loves his little girls and when he would hear the word daddy, he would light any room he was in. To say Josh was a huge OU football fan would be an understatement, every football game he was dressed head to toe with his OU colors. One of Josh’s greatest memories was the day he was able to take his little brother Dustin to his first OU Football game just last year.

Josh leaves behind his love, Cristina Myers and his two beautiful girls, Madi and Ari. His mother, Kathy Elston (Scott), his best friend and little brother, Dustin Myers (Kira), sister, Krystal Cothran (Shane), two nieces, Finnleigh Myers and Alauna Myers, his father & mother in law, Bill and Teresa Wells. Josh is also survived by his beloved grandmother, Barbara Metcalf and grandfather Carl Myers. His aunts, Aunt Ikki, Rikki Hammack (Gregg Gumerson), Amanda Lacy (Ray) and uncle Ken Metcalf, Jr. (Jen), as well as numerous other family members, cousins and friends. Josh had a very special bond growing up and getting in trouble with his little brother and cousins, Kaycee, Taylor and Chance Hammack. The five of them spent their childhoods together and trying to figure out what adventure or mischief to get into and how to avoid telling theirs moms about it.

Josh is proceed in death by his hero, his dad, Howard T. Myers, his grandfather, Ken Metcalf, Sr. and great-grandmother, Ruth Metcalf.

A celebration of Josh’s life will be at Southpointe Baptist Church on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, you can donate to a memorial fund that has been set up at BancFirst in Guthrie, OK under Josh's brother, Dustin.

Our hearts are truly broken by the loss of this beautiful soul taken too soon, we, his family, will miss his goofiness, him trying to photobomb family pictures, his smile, him calling his mom just to say hi, the crazy things him and his brother would get into and him picking on his Aunt Ikki about her being an OSU fan. Fly high our Sweet Angel and Boomer Sooner.
