Susan Gayleen Musgrove (Mosier), a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, dear sister and friend, passed away from a long and courageous battle with an aggressive and debilitating lung disease in Oklahoma City on May 8, 2026 surrounded by her heartbroken family.
Born on October 27, 1957 in Pratt, Kansas to Maynard L. and Noreen A. Mosier (Weigel), Susan grew up in a busy home filled to the brim with two brothers and four sisters. She attended Sacred Heart School as an elementary student and graduated from Pratt High School in 1975. During this time, Susan began dating Kenneth J Musgrove in high school and she married her soulmate on October 23, 1976. They would have celebrated 50 years of unwavering love this fall.
Building a life filled with laughter and love, Susan was a nurturing mother to Ryan J Musgrove (Sheena), Amber Musgrove, and Kimberly Schnoebelen (Kory) and treasured her role as Nana to nine grandchildren who were the light of her life: Kyson, Jovie, Logan, Kiersten, Kaden, Archer, Kyler, Kamryn, and Konnor. She was a doting mother and grandmother and provided an environment filled with endless emotional support, a foundation of lifelong lessons and values, with lots of fun and joy mixed in. Susan truly embodied the nature and meaning of family. She was honest, proud, strong until the end, and loved her family unconditionally.
We would be remiss in not including the children Susan helped raise through her home day care business of over thirty years, where she created a fun and nurturing learning experience for multitudes of children. She worked tirelessly, attending early childhood certification classes and workshops and researching current practices to stay up on the latest techniques to help those little ones to be their best selves.
Susan is survived by her devoted husband Kenneth J. Musgrove, her children, her grandchildren, and her siblings Mary Farmer (Art), Judy Corrigan (Ron), Darla McNeal (Grant), and Carol Cramer (David); sister-in-laws Sandy Mosier and Misty Mosier Clancy as well as her in-laws Gena and Billy Parker, Nancy and Marvin Parker, and Tammy and Rob Petty, and many precious nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and stepdad Arthur Budig, Susan was preceded in death by her brothers Dan L. Mosier and Kenneth W. Mosier.
A celebration of life will be held at Billings Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on May 18th at 1621 Downs Ave, Woodward, OK. Susan will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kind spirit, strength, loving welcoming personality and smile, and compassionate selfless heart.
