Linda Jean Mummery

May 14, 1948 ~ April 14, 2012

Linda Jean Mummery, 63 of Midwest City, Oklahoma died April 14, 2012 in Midwest City. She was born in Red Oak, Oklahoma on May 14, 1948 to George W and Maggie Branch.

Linda graduated from Gordon Cooper vocational school with a degree in practical nursing in 1991. She also graduated from Rose State College with a degree in registered nursing in 1998. She passed her state boards and was licensed to practice as a registered nurse in 1998. Her chosen field of practice was geriatrics. In her health care career she served in all capacities starting as nurses aide, moving up to a medication aide, then a practical nurse, then an assistant director of nursing finally serving many years as a director of nursing. In these capacities she gave professional treatment and compassionate kindness to literally thousands of patients in her many years of devotion to her chosen career.

Linda was preceded in death by her son, Jason Black, Father, Mother, three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her husband, Terry Mummery, son Nathan Black, daughters Kimberly Sechrist and Tracie Parks, Son-in-laws Rodney Sechrist and Paul Parks, grandchildren Starr and Leighton Harris, Matteo Young, Jacob and Jamie Sechrist, Summer and Jonathan Black and Autumn Squire, John, Paul Jr and Phoenix Parks and great granddaughter Julienne Parks.
