Anita Faye (Peddy) Morrison
November 11, 1945 ~ March 12, 2024

Anita Faye Peddy Morrison was born on November 11, 1945 in Durant Oklahoma to Arthur Vernon Peddy and Nellie Pearl Peddy. She left this earthly life in Denison, Texas joining her husband and savior on March 12, 2024. at the age of 78.

Anita attended Durant Schools and graduated from the DHS class of 1964.

Anita married Mike Morrison in Durant, Oklahoma on January 17, 1969. She loved traveling with her husband Mike and family all over the beautiful United States. They had visited almost all 50 states, many times visiting state parks, historical monuments and amazing scenery. She loved her children deeply and was always worrying about their wellbeing.

Anita is survived by her son Shayne Morrison and Michelle of Bells, TX. Her identical twin sister Juanita Bennett and husband Benny, brother Wayne Peddy and wife Sue, brother Jimmy Peddy and wife Lori, and along with several extended family members.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents; Arthur and Nellie, her husband Mike, her daughter Michele Leigh Morrison Powell, brother Jackie Peddy, and sister JoAnn Coldiron.
A memorial service to celebrate Anita’s life will be held at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel in Durant, OK with Benny Bennett officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service in Durant, OK. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
