Michael Wayne Morris

Michael Wayne Morris
August 16, 1950 ~ April 07, 2020

Michael Wayne Morris was born August 16, 1950 to Glen and Lola (Harberson) Morris. He departed this life April 7, 2020 the age of 69 years, 7 months and 22 days.

Michael was a graduate of Bristow High School. Upon graduation, he served his country faithfully enlisting in the United States Army. Michael met the love of his life, Rose Mary Leigh and they were married in 1979; to this union were born three children. They spent thirty-nine years together before her passing on March 14, 2018. Michael worked in sales for the Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts store. He had no greater joy than spoiling his grand kids, not only with things but most importantly his time. A mechanical person, Michael could always be found tinkering with something; always making time to help others fix what was broken. As well, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and listening to the CB radio. He had a soft spot for his dog Sassy. Having a heart of gold, Michael always wore a smile and was quick to fill the air with laughter.

Michael is survived by three children, Matthew Morris and wife Maranda of Bristow, James Morris and wife Hillary of Davenport and Tess Henderson and husband Russell of Broken Arrow; one sister, Michelle Fischer of Tulsa; seven grandchildren, Lauren, Hailey, Luke, Levi and Daphne Morris as well as Scarlett and Sydnee Henderson. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Rose Mary.
