Jack William Morris

June 16, 1927 ~ March 2, 2008

Jack William Morris was born on June 16, 1927 in Mt Venon, Kentucky to George Hayes Morris and Mae Emma Hansel Morris. He passed from this life on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 3:30 am in Fayetteville, Arkansas VA Hospital, at the age of 80 years.

Jack was married to Doris M. Linville on October 30, 1954, in Indiana, to that union a daughter was born, Cynthia Ann, in Yuma, Arizonia.

Jack grew up in and around Mt. Vernon, Kentucky. He was a member of DAV, he served his country in the US Army, World War II, and was honorable discharged August 29, 1947. He was Awarded the World War II Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, he was the Medium Tank Crewman. He was of Church of Christ Faith, and Teacher in the Church of Christ for many years.

He is preceded in death by his wife Doris, Dad; George Hayse Morris, and mother Mae Emma Hansel, and second mother Eva Jewell Morris, two brothers; Monroe and Jearl Dean Morris, and two sisters Ameta, and Bonnie Rhoades.

In addition to his daugher Cynthia Ann (Cindi), he is survived by his son-in-law Alan Starch, three grandsons; Andrew, Nathan and Dalton all of Fort Collins, Colorado, his sisters; Bernice Cromer of Broadhead, Kentucky, Betty Rhodes of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Rose and husband John Vanderburg of Lexington, Oklahoma, Vivian and husband Shawn Davis of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, brothers; George and wife Retha Morris and Russell M. (Sr) and wife Reba of Stilwell, Oklahoma, a host of nieces and nephews and other brothers and sisters in Christ.
