Jesse Billups Morris
January 28, 1970 ~ May 11, 2020

Jesse Billups Morris departed this earth and entered into the joy of the Lord on Monday, May 11, 2020. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 28, 1970 at 10:36 am to Patricia Morris and John Billups Sr.

At an early age, Jesse moved to Depew, Oklahoma to live with his grandmother Joyce Morris. He attended Depew schools from Kindergarten through his senior year. He played basketball and football most of his high school years proud to be a hornet all the way until graduating in 1989. He then attended North Eastern College in Alva, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State playing D2 football for a short period of time. He later attended Tulsa Welding School where he earned his degree in welding which lead him to several jobs in the welding industry throughout many states until shortly before his battle with cancer began in 2019.

Jesse fought a good fight for a little over a year with that battle. He loved fishing and family gatherings. He grew up a member of First Baptist Church in Depew, Oklahoma, but last year, joined Greater Mount Herman under the leadership of Reverend James Phil Totress attending as long as his health would allow him.

Preceding him in death was his grandmother, Joyce Steward Morris and his sister Cassandra “Kissy” Morris. He leaves to mourn, his mother Patricia Morris of Depew; father, John Billups Sr. of Chicago; the love of his life, thirty years strong, Trina Rolland; two sons, Kevin Rolland of Bristow and Jesston Morris of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Tamra Rolland of Texas; four sisters, Charmaine Morris of Chicago, Sherita Reynolds and Husband Rickey of Tulsa, Priscilla Morris of Tulsa and TeAndre Morris of Depew; Two grandchildren Jessiah and Jayda Morris; Fifteen Nieces and Nephews, Nine great nieces and Nephews along with a host of other family and friends.

Services are scheduled for 1:00pm, Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Greater Mount Herman with Reverend James Phil Totress officiating.
