Karen LaVern (McFarland) Morelock
June 7, 1947 ~ June 22, 2022

Karen LaVern Morelock, longtime Cleveland area resident, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, surrounded by her children. She was 75 years old.

LaVern was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 7, 1947 to Sam and Marie McFarland. She married Clifford Morelock on March 8, 1963 and they raised their family around the Sand Springs, Cleveland area.

LaVern worked many jobs in the area but is best known as a clerk for Billy B's convenience store.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards with her brothers and sisters, and talking with her friends.

LaVern and Clifford helped many around the area when they were in need and often gave them a place to stay when they needed it.

LaVern is survived by her children, Teresa Owens and husband Weldon, of Prue, Lisa Carter and husband Mark of Cleveland, Nancy Moreno and husband Richard of Sand Springs, Samantha Williams and husband Rusty of Terlton, John Morelock and wife Krystal of Mannford, Clifford and LaVern have 11 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, with one on the way. She is also survived by two sisters and two brothers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford, parents, Sam and Marie McFarland, one sister, Debbie Maxwell, and brother Leonard McFarland.

The family is planning a private memorial service.
