Robert Damon Moreau

Robert Damon Moreau
June 15, 1947 ~ December 15, 2013

Robert Damon Moreau was born on Sunday, June 15, 1947 at St. Luke's Hospital in Spokane, Washington. His parents were Roger and Macel Moreau.

His parents preceded him in death. He has a younger sister, Cathleen Whipple of Seattle, Washington, an uncle, Merle Claflin of Seattle and an aunt, Marlene Couch of Hawaii. Robert's wife, Marilyn Joyce (McWilliams) Moreau, also preceded him in death.

Robert and Marilyn had eight children. They are Daniel Asmussen of Phoenix, Arizona, David Asmussen and wife Andrea of Cove, Oregon, Michael Asmussen and wife Marta of Spokane, Washington, Victoria (Asmussen) McConnell and husband Chuck of Watts, Oklahoma, Teresa Lyn Marie Asmussen of Watts who is deceased, Cassandra Marie Moreau of Watts, Jeffrey Moreau of Spokane and Julie (Moreau) Burr of Spokane. He has had numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

His schooling included grade school at Rogers Primary and Whitman grade school. He attended junior high at John A Shaw Jr. High School and graduated from John Rogers High School in 1965, all of which were in Spokane, Washington. Robert received a degree in Visual Media from Spokane Falls Community College in 1985 and a Theological Degree from Theological School of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee in 2003.

Robert entered the U.S. Army/National Guard in 1965 and served until 1971. He was a forward observer for an artillery platoon of 4.2 mortar and 155 mm gun. He received an Honorable Discharge from active and reserve service in 1971.

He worked for Fasteners, Inc. in Spokane, Washington as a salesman and Branch Manager, Ideal Excavation as an oiler, grade checker and heavy equipment operator. In later life, Robert and Marilyn owned and operated a Print Shop and graphic design business that did printing, sign printing and graphic design in the Spokane and the eastern Washington area.
