Steven Lewis Moore
May 23, 1954 ~ Oct. 3, 2014

Steven Lewis Moore passed away on Friday, Oct. 3, 2014. Steve was born May 23, 1954, in Okarche, Okla. He graduated from Enid High School in Oklahoma in 1972.

He then attended Oklahoma State University (OSU) and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering technology in the School of Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology.

He met and married the love of his life, Laurie. They were married for 34 years and lived a very happy life together.

Steve was retired, and he and Laurie made Houston their home.

Steve�s 32-year career as a safety professional with ConocoPhillips enabled them to travel the world and experience many unique locations.

They were always drawn to beautiful beaches and warm summer breezes.

He loved being home as well.

Steve was a great host and enjoyed entertaining and grilling for friends and family in his beautiful back yard.

Steve was a wonderful husband, son and brother. He will be sorely missed by all who have had the honor and pleasure to know him.

Steve is survived by his wife, Laurie; mother, Rosemary; and brother, Robert.

He was predeceased by his father, Arthur.

Memorial contributions are welcome and can be made to Oklahoma State University College of Engineering Architecture and Technology, directed to the School of Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology (FPSET), or to Tidewell Hospice of Sarasota, Fla.
