September 25, 1973 ~ October 1, 2020

Shawn Kertis Monks was born September 25, 1973 in Norman, Ok to Daniel and Theresa Monks and flew home to LIVE with Jesus on Thursday October 1, 2020 at 4:01pm. Shawn graduated from Shidler High School where he participated in Band, Chorus, Football, Basketball, and Baseball. After graduating Shawn worked at Domino’s Pizza, Hastings, Sykes, Assurion, and many other jobs in between. He received His Associates degree at NOC in Tonkawa and was continuing his studies in Elementary Education at NorthWestern OSU.

Shawn was preceded in death by His dad, Daniel Monks, His Grandmother, Mary Carter, His Grandfather Harold Chandler, Great Grandparents, Bertha and Calvin Chandler, Grandfather Lee R. Monks, Grandmother Opal Monks, Aunt Mary Lou Cargill, Uncle, Billy Chandler, Uncle Larry Cargill, and Great Neice Oakyn Farias.

He is Survived by His Mother and Stepfather, Theresa and Bob Payne of Ada, Ok. Brother and Sister-in-law, Alan and Heather Monks of Ponca City, Ok. Sister and Brother-in-law, Wendy and David Clark of Oklahoma City, Ok, his Children Alex and Kertis Monks , his daughters Emma, Lyndsey, and Jessica Habert, His Grandchildren Ariel Maddux, Isaiah Oinger, and Asher Habert. Three Aunts, Two Uncles, Eight Nieces, Two Nephews, Eight Cousins, Numerous extended family members, friends, and Loved Ones.

Shawn was Loved and Cherished, by all. He will be Greatly missed. FLY TO JESUS AND LIVE!!!
