Kendra Jean (Lewis) Mongold
March 12, 1970 ~ October 14, 2019

A celebration of life for Kendra Mongold, 49, of Weatherford, formerly of Lahoma, will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. Services are under direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Kendra Jean (Lewis) Mongold was born March 12, 1970, to Kenneth "Dan" and Venus Lewis in Okinawa, Japan, and passed away October 14, 2019, at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

She graduated from Rogers High School in Rogers, Arkansas, in 1988 and then continued her education, graduating from Oklahoma City University with her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts. On April 6, 1991, she married the love of her life, Troy Mongold, and together they had two children. Together the two of them opened up their home and fostered many kids.

Kendra taught Kindermusik for over twelve years. She loved to garden and be outdoors. Kendra was a devoted wife and mother - spending time with her family was her favorite thing. She homeschooled her children and loved to see their achievements as they grew older and went to college. Before her passing, she started teaching at Southern Hills Elementary in Oklahoma City.

Kendra is survived by her husband of 28 years, Troy Mongold; her son, Kameron Mongold; her daughter, Katayla Mongold; her mother, Venus Lewis; both of her grandmothers, Phillis Lewis and Virginia Willits; her sister, Dana Estes and husband Michael; her brother, Kendrake Lewis and wife Wendy.

She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth "Dan" Lewis, and both of her grandfathers, Kenneth Lewis and Bill Willits.

Memorials can be made to University of Central Oklahoma Music Department, with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds. Condolences may be made and services viewed at www.ladusauevans.com.
