Wilson Bruce Moldrup

October 21, 1943 ~ June 12, 2019

Wilson Bruce Moldrup was born October 21, 1943 in Mooreland, OK to Arnold and Reva (Fulmer) Moldrup. He grew up in Seiling on the family farm and attended Seiling Schools. He called The First Christian Church in Seiling “my church.”

He was a man that liked to be in the know. He thrived on learning what made things tick, and he enjoyed being the go to guy. He graduated from Seiling Schools with the Class of 1961. While in school he was part of the band as Drum Major, and he played the trumpet for many years. There are many stories of that 1957 yellow Ford with the special hubcaps, the backfiring, and the friends riding in the trunk. The orneriness and dry sense of humor followed him around continuously. Throughout high school he was a member of Seiling FFA where he was on the dairy, meat, and engineering teams, and e was a State Junior Master Farmer. After graduation, Wilson attended Oklahoma State University at Stillwater, OK where he received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in engineering and then went to Tulsa to study law, and he still came home during the summer to farm, and continued farming until his health failed in 2001. While in Tulsa, he had a career restoring old Lincoln cars. He was also an excellent machinist, mechanic, and was well versed in doing all of his own repairs when it came to plumbing, electricity, and carpentry.

After college he moved back to Seiling and was an implement dealer for a short time and then began to manufacture meter runs for Panhandle Eastern. His businesses and farm shops were located where the current Tony’s Pump and PPS Trucking reside. Later he built hydraulic pumping units for offshore rigs. His business was named Molco, where he employed several locals through the years and he also tested welders for certification.

His son Jory once said that “He has seen and done more things in his lifetime than most people ever dreamed of doing.” Wilson referred to farming as his expensive hobby and deemed himself as having auction fever. He was a regular at the Shamrock Café and participated in all of the true stories heard there.

Wilson married Wanda and their ready-made family in 1984. He was previously married and had a son named Clint who lives Arkansas with his wife and three children.

In 2016 more sickness occurred and Wilson spent his last days at the Fairview Fellowship Home. The family appreciates the fellowship home staff, Dr. Price and his staff, Faith Hospice and their Chaplain Dennis King for their loving care. Wilson gave up the fight and moved to his Heavenly home to be with Jesus on June 12, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Don, and sister Jerva, nephews Michael and Shannon and his mother and father in law.

Left to remember this special man is his wife Wanda of 35 years; daughters, Bonita Goodpasture and husband Jason of Enid, OK; Amy Howard and husband Frank of Mooreland, OK; and son Jory Moldrup and wife Fionna of Stillwell, OK. Summerlyn, Dallas, Gabriel, Fayth, Hannah, Dalen, Daxton, and Zander will miss their Papa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, brothers and sister in law and many friends

Memorial Services will be held at Redinger Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 17, 2019.
