 Forrest M. Mock

September 6, 1928 ~ January 29, 2017

Memorial Services for Mr. Forrest M. Mock, 88, of Milburn, Oklahoma will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.. m. at the Christ Independent Baptist Church with Brother Earl White officiating.  A visitation and viewing will be held the same day from 10:00 a. m. until 12:00 noon at the funeral home.  Mr. Mock passed away on January 29, 2017 at the Mercy Memorial Hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma. At his request, the family selected cremation.

Forrest was born on September 6, 1928 in Slaton, Texas to Jack and Ethel Mock.  He grew up and attended school in that area and later served in the United States Army during WWII.  After his honorable discharge, he worked as a manager for Calpine Containers in Salinas, California, from which he retired.  He married Betty Tyson on April 15, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They moved to Johnston County in 1995.  Mr. Mock was a member of the American Legion Post #164 in Tishomingo and of the Christ Independent Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wayland and Esker Mock and three sisters, Artie Mae Mock, Burzee Mock, and Joyce Parsons

Mr. Mock is survived by his wife Betty; his children, Susie Crockett and husband David, Rose Abbaspour, Vivian Simonis, Cheryl Williams, Robert Mock and Wes Mock; his sister, IrmaDell O’Brien; grandchildren, Brandi Watters, Brandon & Grace Crockett and Jill & Jerry Young; great-grandchild, Jackson Thomas Young; his god grandchild, Lola Marie Rowland; two god children, Bentley and Brackett Strickland and numerous other relatives.
