Kenneth Allen Moats

July 30, 1949 ~ Jan. 22, 2015

Kenneth Allen Moats, of Enid, Okla., passed away Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, following a short illness.

Ken was born July 30, 1949, in Baytown, Texas, to Kenneth Harlan Moats and Thelma (Cowan) Moats.

Ken graduated from Enid High School and attended college in Alva and Enid. He sold cars with his father at their car lot and at other dealerships in Enid.

On July 7, 1990, Ken married Joanna Corlett Pressley in Denison, Texas, and the couple made their home in Enid.

Ken enjoyed spending his days at AmVets playing dominoes and cards with his friends, watching his son's sporting activities, traveling with his family, playing poker at the casinos, and buying and selling used vehicles. Ken's greatest joy was being a husband and father.

Ken is survived by his wife Joanna; son and best friend Carson Joseph Moats of the home; daughter Brandy Melrose, husband Chris and granddaughter Averie all of Folsom, Calif.; and his mother, Thelma Kitchen of Enid.

He was preceded in death by his father.

In lieu of a service, the family will have a come-and-go reception at the home 2-5 p.m. today, Jan. 25, 2015, to celebrate Ken�s life.
