Tonya Diane (Mayo) Mitchell
October 12, 1975 ~ February 19, 2022

Tonya Mitchell 46 year old Mutual, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life Saturday, February 19, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 26, 2022 in the Woodward First Assembly of God Church with Reverend Phillip Ludwyck officiating. Private family interment will be held at later date, with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Tonya Diane (Mayo) Mitchell was born on October 12, 1975 in Dallas, Texas to Jerry Lynn and Kathy Diane (Branum) Mayo. She was raised in Granbury, Texas and graduated from Granbury High School. She was united in marriage to Kevin Francis Mitchell on June 11, 1994 in Granbury and the young couple made their first home there. They later lived in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Cache, Oklahoma, and Woodward, Oklahoma before settling in Mutual. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Ashlyn Diane and Kathryn LeAnn.

Tonya worked for Chesapeake Energy, Woodward Public Schools and was also self employed before going to work as a sales clerk at Meads Jewelry Store. She enjoyed scuba diving, traveling, and shopping. She was a member of the Woodward County Republican Women and was an avid Relay for Life supporter.

Tonya loved her family and spending time with them is what brought the most joy in her life. She was a beautiful mother and wife who loved her family with all her heart. She had a joyful personality and a wonderful smile and laugh. She was loved by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin; two daughters, Ashlyn and Kathryn; granddogs, Davante and Winston; other relatives and many many friends;

Tonya was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Kathy Mayo, grandparents: Gene and Leona Branum, Jerry and Ella Mayo, one brother, Jerry Lynn Mayo, Jr.

Memorials may be made to the funeral home.
