Mary Inez (Lee) Byrd Mitchell

June 19, 1917 ~ May 31, 2006

A funeral service will be held at 3 pm today in the Chapel of Mish Funeral Home in Oildale for Mary Mitchell.

Mary was born in Konawa, Oklahoma June 19, 1917 and passed away May 31, 2006.

Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Effie Alice Lee; her sisters, Lonnie Hamrick, Ethel Hamrick, Jewel Spencer, Fanora McDaniel, Christy Hudson; one brother, John Lee; husbands, Jack Byrd and Robert Mitchell, and one grandchild, Carol Byrd.

Survivors include her sons and their wives, Bill and Shirley Byrd of Oak Harbor, Washington; Lloyd and Lorlea Byrd of Taft; Phillip and Debbie Byrd of Crowley, Texas; and Mike and Sandy Byrd of Lake, Michigan. Also, daughters and their husbands; Joyce and James Robinson of Bakersfield; June and Doug Kaiser of Bakersfield; Christine Goodson of Taft, and Paula and Roger Sullivan of Chandler, Texas. She also leaves behind twenty-four grandchildren, forty-six great grandchildren, numerous nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews in Arizona, California, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming and Bamberg, Germany.

Mom is loved and will be greatly missed.
