Lyndol Evan Mitchell, Sr.
May 6, 1957 ~ September 30, 2021

Lyndol E. Mitchell, 64 year old Woodward resident, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in Woodward. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Brad Smith officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Lyndol Evan Mitchell, Sr. was born on May 6, 1957 in Denver, Colorado to Loyd Edward and Lena Adeline (Bartmass) Mitchell. He grew up in California and Watonga and attended school there. Lyn was united in marriage to Linda Deviney on April 25, 1980 in Buffalo, Oklahoma. The family lived in Buffalo, Medicine Lodge, Watonga, Ft. Supply, and Woodward. Lyn worked in the Oilfield, was a janitor, and a farm hand.

He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Lyn loved spending time with Linda, his grandkids, and going to church. He enjoyed singing, hunting and fishing. Lyn was a long time member of the NRA.

He is survived by his son, Lyndol Mitchell and wife Jamie and their son Evan; two adopted sons, Leslie Wheeler, Tommy Thompson; one daughter, Jessica Stewart and her children, Dakota Tipton, Brendan Stewart and Zandyn Stewart; two brothers, Reo James Spicer, Paul Mitchell; sisters, Ann Elston, Vivian Cox; eight grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lyn was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Mary Ann Mitchell, and sister Gloria Martinez.
