A Memorial Service for Diana L. Mitchell will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the First Christian Church, Hennessey, OK, officiated by Drew Kirtley. 

Diana was born in Enid, OK on March 5, 1950 to Oscar and Wanda Davis and died Thursday, June 14, 2018 at M.D. Anderson, Houston, TX. 

Diana married Richard Mitchell on November 5, 1971 and they made their home in Waukomis.

Diana is survived by her husband Richard; four daughters, Tammy Shannon and husband Eddie of Niceville, FL, Tracy Mitchell and fiancee Jeff Hempfill of Norman, Ashley Zielny and husband Jason of Hennessey, Ricki Crabtree and husband Mark of Enid; eight grandchildren, Trevor Hammer, Raleigh Hammer, Nathan Shannon, Ethan Shannon, Brittan Crabtree, Noelle Pollard, Skylar Crabtree, Piper Zielny; one brother, Paul Davis; and one sister, Connie Fitzpatrick.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents. 

Diana worked as a nurse for forty-two years at St. Mary's Medical Regional Medical Center in Enid. After her retirement, Diana enjoyed volunteering her time for the American Red Cross and traveled across the United States helping others in need. She adored her grandchildren and loved watching their activities. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations be made to: National Marrow Donor Program, Be The Match, 500 North 5th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55401-9959 or Emma's Hugs, P.O. Box 8388, Baytown, TX.
