Bonnie Lee (Horn) Mitchell

December 26, 1928 ~ October 20, 2023

Bonnie Lee Mitchell died peacefully on October 20, 2023. She was born on December 26, 1928 in Leslie, Arkansas to Howell and Ora Horn, the second of seven children. She married Loren Mitchell on December 8, 1947 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Together they had a daughter, Emily, and lived in Bethany, Oklahoma for many happy years.

Bonnie was a homemaker, a great cook, and taught herself to sew. She made clothes for her daughter, Emily, and also made many beautiful quilts. She earned many sales awards with Avon. She was a member of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Loren; her beloved daughter, Emily; and her six siblings, Howell Horn, Jr., Juanita Guitierrez, Emma Jean Miller, Cecil Horn, Gertrude White and Ben Stillwell. She is survived by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Bonnie will be greatly missed.

Services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, October 26 at Mercer-Adams Chapel.
