Alberta Lee (Richards) Mitchell

Memorial service for Alberta Lee Mitchell, 81, Hennessey, will be at 1 p.m. Thurs., Aug. 11, 2016 at First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Chris Gordon. 

Cremation arrangements are by Cordry- Gritz Funeral Home. 

Alberta was born in Bluejacket on Sept. 25, 1934 to Alonzo and Bessie Rhoten Richards and died Thurs., Aug. 4, 2016 at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid. She married Robert L. Mitchell in Miami, Okla. in 1962. Alberta was a member of First Baptist Church in Hennessey.

She is survived by one son, Robert Mitchell, Jr. and wife Mary of Hennessey; two daughters, Brenda Gothard and husband Gary of Pineville, Mo. and Sherry Bradford and husband Curtis of Flower Mound, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. 

Alberta was preceded in death by her husband Robert Mitchell Sr., one daughter Leila Graham; two sons Marvin Browning and infant son David Mitchell. 

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
