Funeral services for Vickie Lynn Minnick, 63, of Cherokee will be Friday, August 21, 2020 at 10:30 am at the Fairview Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Dennis King will officiate. Cremation arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

Vickie Lynn Minnick passed from this life Friday, August 14, 2020 at St Mary’s Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma after her long battle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease COPD. She was born in Clifton, Texas on February 24th, 1957 to Solomon Berarder and Katie Mae (Boatman) McMillan and grew up in Kiowa Oklahoma and attended school there.

Vickie was a hard working woman that could do almost anything in life. She worked as a truck driver, worked in many restaurants and even owned one or two. But the think she loved the most is when she work in providing Home Heath to the elderly. She was a strong willed, hard headed and stubborn woman that once you got to know, you would lover her. She always worked hard but still found the time to raise a daughter Misty and a son Billy. December 23, 1998 she married Virgil Minnick and they lived in Cherokee Oklahoma.

Vicky is survived by her husband Virgil, daughter Misty Hawkins, son Billy Wingo and his wife Brandie, brother Billy McMillan, sisters Denice Martin and Etoya Riddle, and five grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Ricky Cottral and Mike McMillan
