Donald Miner

Donald Miner
October 19, 1952 ~ June 18, 2022

Don passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on the morning of June 18th, 2022. Don was born to Opal and Don Miner in Grand Island, Nebraska. Don's father was a U.S. Marine who was killed in action in Korea shortly before Don was born. When Don's mother remarried, the family moved to Liberty, Missouri. Don was a 1971 graduate of Liberty High School.

Don happened to meet Brenda Welton in 2005 when they were both living in the same apartment building in Midwest City. Don and Brenda married on May 6th, 2006 and they remained devoted to each other ever since.

Don had a variety of jobs throughout his life and most recently, before retirement, he was employed by Lockheed Martin as a material handler at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City.

Don was the type of guy who never knew a stranger. He loved to tell corny jokes to whomever would listen; the cornier, the better. You would roll your eyes and Don would laugh. As a matter of fact, Don did a lot of laughing. If you worked with Don, you might just show up for work and find an apple fritter and a carton of chocolate milk sitting on your desk, and Don peeking around a corner just to see your reaction. He was that kind of guy. Don loved playing Santa Claus whenever he got the chance, and he was the perfect guy to do it. Sometimes Brenda would join him and go as Mrs. Claus. Jolly.. that sure does describe Don. Those that knew Don, know that he loved life, he loved to laugh, he loved to tell a joke, and most of all, he loved Brenda.
