Wade Leonard Mindemann

May 3, 1964 ~ August 29, 2017 (age 53)

Wade Leonard Mindemann Of Apache, OK

Was born May 3, 1964 in Lawton, OK to Leroy Helmuth and Sherry Kay (Jones) Mindemann. He passed away at his home in Apache on August 29th, at the age of 53.

Wade grew up with a love for cooking. Even at an early age, he would come up with original recipes on his own. He had even hoped, someday, to publish his own cookbook. After graduating from Apache High School, he obtained his bachelor's degree in Restaurant and Hotel Management. He managed several top restaurants, including, The Wichita Club in Wichita Falls, TX, Martin's in Lawton, the Country Club in Garden City, KS, and was the Food Service Director at Ten Oaks Retirement Center in Lawton. He also worked at the Apache Sale Barn Café for a while. While working at Ten Oaks, he developed a love of caring for people, and found a calling in becoming a private home health care worker. Wade continued his love of cooking and baking, and could be found taking cookies to his favorite nurses, or a plate of his famous deviled eggs or a delicious casserole to a church dinner or community gathering. Wade also had a green thumb, and raised a garden and grew many beautiful flowers. Wade was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Apache.
