Mayola Mills

Oct. 21, 1924 ~ Feb. 14, 2007

Visitation will be held Wednesday through Friday, 4-8 p.m. at Hillcrest Mortuary. A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 24th, 10:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd., with Garry Hannah officiating. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Hall-A, 830 Wilson Rd., Bakersfield, CA 93304.

Mayola Mills was born October 21, 1924 in Ft. Towson, Oklahoma, from the union of D.C. Mills and Mayola Mills.

Mayola Mills is survived by Mary Lee Iverson, Willie Earl Mills, Fay Nordstrom, Mary Richardson, Ola Brown, Martha Clark, Kay Davis, Doris Hannah, and Ernie Mills; 44 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren. She has served Jehovah for 42 years according to Romans 6:23, she has paid her wages with Jehovah.

She loved people and did not like to see people suffer. Some of the things she liked to do was word puzzles, sewing and cooking. She was gifted with the ability to cook without a recipe.

The family would like to thank you. Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair, perhaps you sent a floral piece, if so we saw it there, perhaps you spoke the kindest words as any friends could say. Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you so much, whatever the part. In John 5:28, 29, it says "Do not marvel at this because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear His voice and come out those who did good things to a Resurrection of Life."

A luncheon will be served after services at the Rasmussen Senior Center, 115 E. Roberts Ln., Bakersfield.
