Gloria Astrid (Forsman) Millette
June 25, 1921 ~ August 11, 2019

Gloria (Forsman) Millette was born on June 25, 1921 in Iron River, Michigan to Andrew and Olea (Berg) Forsman. She grew up in Iron River. She married Eli A. Millett on January 29, 1941 in Caspian, MI. They had one daughter Cynthia A. Millette born on October 8, 1943. Gloria was an active member of First Lutheran Church, in Iron River, member of Lutheran League, Womens groups, Bible school and Funeral committee. She also was a member of the 20th Century Club and other service organizations. They moved to the Detroit area in 1961. She later moved to Lawton, Ok. She had left high school to raise her younger brothers and in 1991 she finally made a dream come true, she received her high school diploma. Gloria was a published poet and artist. She enjoyed attending the opera club, stage plays and music.

Gloria A. Millette passed away on August 11, 2019 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Gloria is survived by her daughter and son in law, Cynthia and Jack Cooper of Lawton; her grandsons, Jay Cooper of Stepherdstown, West Virginia and Jeffrey and Sharlein Cooper of Ft. Worth, Tx; her granddaughter, Susan Cooper EdD and her husband Robert Walker of Wichita Falls, Tx; her great grandchildren, Alyssa, Justin, Jeremy, and Alex Cooper, Elizabeth Twamley and Jennifer Cooper and her 10 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eli A. Millette; her parents, Andrew and Olea Forsman; her twin sisters and four brothers.

The family will greet friends in the church hall after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Boulevard Church or Breast Cancer research would be appreciated.
