Norman Douglas "Doug" Miller
October 13, 1947 ~ October 14, 2019

Norman “Doug” Miller, age 72, of Tecumseh, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 in Shawnee.

He was born on October 13, 1947 to George Arthur and Thema Louise (Dossey) Miller.

Doug was born in Corning, Arkansas and was raised in Shawnee. He spent all of his adult life in Tecumseh. He attended grade school at Dale public schools, he then attended middle school and high school in Shawnee and graduated from Shawnee with the class of 1966.

He married Janice Wall on June 19, 1970 in Shawnee.

Doug proudly served his country in the 5th Special Forces, Green Beret, with the United States Army.

He was the owner/operator of Doug Miller Floor Covering.

Doug enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was very artistic and an excellent marksman.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Janice, of the home; 1 daughter, Regina Ross of Tecumseh; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Vanessa Miller of Claremore, OK; 3 grandchildren, Gage Ross, Cale Miller and Kaelynn Miller; his mother, Thelma Devine; 1 brother, Dan Miller; and many other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2019 at The Tecumseh American Legion.
