Ruth Wood Mileur

???? ~ Feb. 20, 1998 | Age 93

Ruth Wood Mileur, 93, of Wolfforth and a former Amarillo resident, died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998.

Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Monsignor Francis A. Smyer officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.

Mrs. Mileur was born in Rush Springs, Indian Territory. She moved to the Sudan area of Texas in the 1930s. She and her husband owned a hatchery until the 1950s. She had been a resident of Amarillo since 1947.

Mrs. Mileur was a charter member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and active in Little Flower Mission Guild. She served as a Pink Lady at St. Anthony's Hospital until the early 1990s.

She married Urban H. Mileur in 1925 at Duncan, Okla. He died in 1970.

Survivors include a daughter, Marily Krahn of Lubbock; a son, Max E. Mileur of Atlanta; a sister-in-law, Maxine Wood of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at 1705 S. Julian St. They request memorials be to Perfect Peace Personal Care Home, 8824 FM 1585, Wolfforth, Texas, 79382.
