Kenneth Wayne Midyett
February 17, 1930 ~ November 9, 2014

Kenneth Wayne Midyett was born February 17, 1930 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Vona Florence and Henry "Lonnie" Midyett. He passed away November 9, 2014 at Russellville, Arkansas at the age of 84 years, 8 months and 22 days.

Kenneth grew up in Elk City and entered the Oklahoma National Guard in 1948. The following year, 1949, he was honorably discharged and returned to Elk City High School graduating in 1951. After graduation he obtained employment at the Garland Bakery. Kenneth later worked as a projectionist and custodian at the theater and drive-in and the 2nd and Adams Church of Christ until he started working for the Elk City School System. Kenneth continued with the school system until he was 80 years old. In 2014 he moved to Russellville, Arkansas to be closer to his family. Kenneth enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting guns, coins and stamps and was also a member of the 2nd and Adams Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Donnie Dean Midyett, 1 sister, Eudora Pierce and 2 nephews, Howie Asher and Roddy Midyett.

He is survived by his sister, Maxine Asher, Russellville, AR; nieces and nephews, Jeff Asher and wife, Cyndi, Russellville, AR, Ricky Midyett, Sayre, OK, Don Pierce, Fresno, CA, Mark Pierce and wife, Elaine, Merriam, KS, Paul Pierce and wife, Judy, Lincoln, NE and D'Ann Pierce, also of Lincoln, NE and a host of other relatives and friends.
