Margaret Sarah "Marge" (Piezzo) Middlebusher

Margaret Sarah "Marge" (Piezzo) Middlebusher
August 25, 1940 ~ November 17, 2021

Margaret (Marge) Sarah (Piezzo) Middlebusher, 81, died peacefully on November 17th, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 25,1940 to the late Joseph and Rose (Turano) Piezzo in Westerly, RI. She was one of their middle children of four. She graduated from Westerly High School. After High School, she met the love of her life, Larry Alvin Middlebusher. Straight out of the Navy, Larry swept her off her feet, marrying her on November 2nd, 1963, and moving her to Bartlesville Oklahoma promising a wonderful life out west with the Cowboys and Indians. The trip to Oklahoma was a long one, and Larry frequently teased Marge, telling her each day that they were almost there – making Marge freshen her makeup in anticipation of meeting Larry's family.

Larry and Marge settled in Dewey Oklahoma, raising 3 children. Marge was very active in the community, working at the Examiner Enterprise, in classified ads as an administrator, retiring there at the age of 62. Then, as a social worker helping the elderly and staying close to her community and her children.

Marge, Larry and the 3 girls enjoyed rodeo, buying their final home in Bartlesville with an arena so Larry and the girls could practice riding horses as they attended a rodeo almost every weekend.

Marge enjoyed cooking, creating several Italian meals with family recipes. The family favorite was the spaghetti and meat balls that Marge would lovingly cook with a rich red sauce. Marge also enjoyed going to rodeos, supporting Larry and her children, and watching her favorite basketball team, the Oklahoma City Thunder. Oh, and how Marge loved coffee, experimenting with different types of grounds and methods of creation.

Marge, in her final days, was under the excellent care of the people at Canoe Brook Assisted Living Center in Catoosa. Special thanks to Crystal and Donna for their special care and attention that they gave Marge in her final months.

She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Rose (Turano) Piezzo, and her sister Mary Piezo. She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Larry Middlebusher of Bartlesville, OK; sister Rose Ann Knotts (Gerald) of Mystic, CT; brother Joseph T. Piezzo Jr. (Carol – deceased); daughters, Lorri (Gregg) Elpers of Broken Arrow, OK: Lisa (Steven) Meyer of Bartlesville, OK; Leslie Middlebusher of Edmond, OK; grandchildren, Tyler (Gia) Rahm of Broken Arrow, OK; Megan Chesney of Catoosa, OK; Jamie Surine of Broken Arrow, OK; Chad Bowman of Tulsa Oklahoma; Marissa Bowman of Fredonia, KS; Matthew Meyer of Bartlesville, OK. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of many friends every where she traveled.

There will be a private family memorial celebrating her life with a family meal of spaghetti and meatballs.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Margaret Middlebusher to:
