Donetta Jean (Lockwood) Meyer
July 10, 1972 ~ March 1, 2023

Donetta Jean Meyer, age 50, of Piedmont, OK, passed away March 1, 2023, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, surrounded by family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 9, 2023, with Rev. David Frees officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

Donetta was born on July 10, 1972, in Ponca City, OK, to Don and Sandra (Cline) Lockwood. She loved growing up in the country and on a farm with lots of animals. She enjoyed running around and exploring with siblings and nearby neighbors. Donetta was so down to earth and didn’t mind getting muddy and making memories. She loved school and hanging out with her friends. She graduated from Newkirk High School in 1990, and then furthered her education at Northern Oklahoma College, graduating in 2003.

On June 8, 1991, she married Randy Meyer, the love of her life, in Ponca City, OK, at the Marland Mansion Chapel. They would be celebrating their 32nd wedding anniversary this June. She worked as an account manager for Love's Corporate office, which she enjoyed. She loved just being outside and also, every minute that she could with friends and family. She was as beautiful inside as she was outside. She truly left an impression on every person she met.

Survivors include: her husband, Randy Meyer of the home; daughters, Makenzie Meyer of Moore, OK, Brooklyn Meyer and Kyndall Meyer, both of Piedmont, OK; her siblings, John (Neva) Lockwood, James (Karen) Lockwood, David (Janet) Lockwood, Linnae (Larry) Colson, Marcy (Mike) Hynd, Jana (Paul) Lambring, Montra (Mel) Powell, Lance Lockwood, Marita (Kenny) Lay; her mother-in-law, Roberta Meyer; sisters-in-law; Brenda (Paul) Silva, Debbie (Derrick) Duffield, Sherri (Brett Cormier) Meyer, and tons of nieces and nephews.

Donetta is preceded in death by: daughter, Hope Elizabeth Meyer; her parents, Don and Sandra Lockwood and father-in-law, Arthur Meyer.

Honorary Pallbearers will be John Lockwood, David Lockwood, James Lockwood, Lance Lockwood, Justin Mecklenburg, Richard Reece, Tyrel Hynd, Jeremiah Allen and Mark Cross.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donetta Meyer foundation at RCB, Ponca City, OK.
