Harold Gene Metcalf

May 17, 1936 ~ May 28, 2004

Harold Gene Metcalf was born on May 17, 1936, and passed away on May 28, 2004. He was born in Oklahoma, joined the U.S. Navy at age 17, and eventually settled in Bakersfield, California where he married and raised a family. He lived in Bakersfield until 1993 when he moved to the central coast for several years and then to Las Vegas. He had only recently returned to Bakersfield before becoming ill.

He is survived by his daughter, Rhendia and her husband, Jason, of Fresno; son Clark of Bakersfield; son Rhan of Midland, Texas; grandsons, Jeffrey, Joshua, Daniel, Andrew, Brandon, and Mason; his siblings, Thernis, Betty and Stella; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends.

Private family services will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2004.
