Leona Jean “Jeannie” (Bronsema) Merck

January 18, 1952 ~ July 19, 2019

Leona Jean “Jeannie” Merck passed from this life on July 19, 2019 at her home in Moultrie, GA. after a short battle with cancer. she was 67 years 7 months and 1 day old

She was surrounded by family when she passed.

Jeannie was born January 18, 1952 in Durant, OK. She was born to Bob Bronsema and Jo Ann Bellamy Bronsema. She is survived by her Mother, Jo Ann; two sisters, Judy Lane and husband Wayne, Tina Granger and husband Buddy Granger; two daughters Michelle Brooks and husband Jeremy Brooks and Heather Crawford; three granddaughters, Leslie, Lillian and Kadence and one grandson Cameron; three great grandchildren Karson, Bayleigh and Kendrix.

Jeannie was a 1970 graduate of Durant High School and attended Southeastern State University. She loved to make quilts and jelly for family and friends.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her father Bob Bronsema and her husband D.T. Merck and her beloved pet Sissy.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 3rd and Ryan street in Calera, Ok.

After the service there will be a reception.
