February 4, 1959 ~ March 17, 2020

Keith Melott, Sr., 61, of Watonga, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at his home.

He was born February 4, 1959 to Roger and Barbara (Sanders) Melott in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Keith was raised in Watonga and graduated with the class of 1977 from Watonga High School.

He made Woodward his home for 25 years until recently moving to Watonga.

Keith worked for a time as a pipeline welder, but spent most of his adult life in the pipeline industry as a pipeline inspector.

He loved to travel, the outdoors, visiting friends and family; and having a goodtime.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Kenneth Melott.

Survivors include 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Amber and Sean Bowen of Yukon, OK and Autumn Bennett of Yukon, OK; 2 sons and 1 daughter-in-law, “Dustin” and Shawnda Melott of Broken Arrow, OK and Justin Keith, Jr. and Jennifer Melott of Pittsburg, PA; 9 grandchildren; his mother, Barbra (Sanders) Melott of Watonga, OK; sister and brother-in-law, Rogina and Juan Lopez; 2 brothers and sister-in-law, Anthony Joe and Tammy Melott and Roger Melott; and other extended family and friends.

Private Family Service to be held with Reverend Keith Ward, Taproot Church in Shawnee officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
