Thomas Riley "Tom" Meeker

Thomas Riley "Tom" Meeker
February 24, 1939 ~ May 21, 2020

Thomas Riley Meeker, age 81, of Eufaula, OK, passed away peacefully May 21, 2020. Tom was born February 24, 1939 in Spencerville, OH to parents Robert E. Meeker and Edna Trippy Meeker. At age 5, his mother passed away from a vehicle incident and later was raised by stepmother, Ruth Meeker. He was a Christian and attended church at various locations through the years. He was married to Janice Ann Meeker since 2018. Tom was in the US Army, stationed at Fort Hood, TX with the 2nd armory division from 1959-1962. He worked for UPS and retired after 33 years; and from the few highlights in his career, one significant highlight was helping to bring service to Muskogee by opening and managing the UPS Center for many years. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Akdar Shrine of OK.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by one sister, Lois Lee, from Lima, OH, his sons, Tom Meeker and wife Wendy of Oktaha, OK, Tim Meeker and wife Diane of Muskogee, OK, Bill Meeker of Gravette, AR, and Toby Meeker and wife Karla of Coweta, OK; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Heather, TR, Kyndra, Garrett, Mason, Cortney, Tobi, Grace; three step-children Jamie Storment, Jonathon Storment and Jill Conklin, and a host of great grandchildren, relatives and friends.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Masonic Lodge #28 of Muskogee, OK. Visitation is set for Monday, June 1st from 9am-8pm and the Funeral Services held Tuesday, June 2nd beginning at 1pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home.

Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 North York St, Muskogee, Oklahoma. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.cornerstoneofmuskogee.com.
