Andrea Louise (Fournier) Meek

Andrea Louise (Fournier) Meek
October 17, 1954 ~ March 11, 2026

Andrea Louise Meek, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on March 11, 2026, in Norman at the age of 71. She was born on October 17, 1954, in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, to Richard A. Fournier and Gertrude C. Fournier.

Andrea married the love of her life, Gary Meek, on April 9, 1981. Their marriage was one filled with love, devotion, and unwavering partnership, and Gary cherished Andrea with all his heart throughout their years together.

Andrea pursued her passion for creativity and design by earning her Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Oklahoma. She went on to build a meaningful and accomplished career, owning and operating a successful family-run landscaping business for more than 40 years, designing beautiful outdoor spaces for clients throughout Oklahoma.

Andrea had a deep love for music of all kinds, ranging from The Beatles to Leon Bridges. She especially cherished attending concerts with her family, most recently seeing Bonnie Raitt alongside her husband, children, and their spouses. Always willing to embrace fun and adventure, the family holds fond memories of traveling to Lake Texoma throughout the years, enjoying the water and the sunshine with family and friends.

She found joy in many hobbies, including painting, reading, crossword puzzles, sewing, gardening, cooking, and spending time in nature. Above all, Andrea cherished time with her family, especially her five grandchildren. She loved family cookouts, taking walks, riding around their property, and traveling across the United States to visit loved ones.

Andrea will be remembered as a constant giver, someone who always cared deeply for her family and friends and offered guidance, wisdom, and encouragement to those around her. She lived with strength and kindness, teaching others the importance of compassion, creativity, and the power of a simple smile. Her greatest loves in life were her family, nature, and art.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Meek of Norman, Oklahoma; her children, Jesse Meek and his spouse Lauren of Norman, Oklahoma, and Sophie Haynes and her spouse Trevor of Norman, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Ava, River, Marilyn, Nora, and Harrison; her sisters, Claire Fretwell and her spouse Ed of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Paulette Olive and her spouse Tony of Phoenix, Arizona, and Terry Jirkovsky and her spouse Sam of Denver, Colorado; as well as many extended family members and friends. She also leaves behind her beloved mini Australian Shepherd, Rose.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard A. Fournier and Gertrude Fournier, and her brothers, Richard M. Fournier, Daniel Fournier, and Roger Fournier.

Andrea’s life was a beautiful reflection of love, creativity, and generosity, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A service to celebrate Andrea will be held on Saturday, March 28th at 2:00 p.m. at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel.
