Makayla Fay Meave-Byers
June 15, 1993 - September 20, 2023

Makayla Fay Meave-Byers, age 30, of Macomb, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023. Maykayla was born June 15, 1993 in Oklahoma City, to Michael Kevin Downs and Barbara Sue (Ezell) Harper. She was raised in Lexington where she attended school, graduating with the Bulldog Class of 2011. Makayla was a vibrant soul; she loved music and singing and always had a song on her heart. She was the proud mother of Adriean, Brian, Daisy, Lily, Chloe and Zoe. Maykayla had a tender heart; she was very caring and loving to children and to animals. She had a passion for teaching, and was pursuing her teaching degree. Maykayla was currently employed as a Para at Macomb Public Schools and was actively involved in the afterschool program. Maykayla loved life, her family, friends and her Lord. She left us too soon, but we know we will one day see her again!

She is survived by: her husband, Frank Byers and children, Daisy, Lily, Chloe and Zoe of the home; Daughter, Adriean Vinson of Slaughterville; Son Brian Vinson of Purcell; Parents, Barbara Harper and husband Scott of Noble and Michael Downs and wife Sonja of Midwest City; Sisters, Andria Meave of Norman and Magan Degraffenried and husband Tommy of Norman; Nieces and nephews, Hunter Voelker, Connor Voelker, TJ Degraffenried, Tyson Degraffenried and CoCo Degraffenried and a host of other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Landmark Church in Purcell. www.wilsonlittle.com.
