James Franklin Meadows
August 7, 1946 ~ Jan. 30, 2015

Memorial services will be Saturday, February 21, 2015, at 2 p.m. at First Christian Church in Cherokee, Oklahoma, with Pastor Gary Lillie, Bethal Hawley Baptist Church, officiating. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.whartonfuneralchapel.com .

James "Jim" Franklin Meadows was born August 7, 1946, to Dell Meadows and Ruby (McIntosh) Meadows in Wynona, Oklahoma, in the train depot, and left this life on Thursday Jan. 30, 2015, at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital, Enid, Oklahoma.

He graduated from high-school at Quay, Oklahoma.

Jim married Jaunita Harper October 20, 1984 and gained a daughter, whom he claimed to love as his own.

His pride and joy was his granddaughter "Tooter." He also enjoyed being a cowboy, driving trucks, and being with family.

Jim worked at several jobs including, Cherokee Sale Barn, Alfalfa County Feeders and Caruthers Trucking.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jaunita, his parents, sister, Alice Lawerence, Wayne Gene (Cactus) Meadows and a daughter Misty.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Paula Huff, granddaughter �Tooter� Carolyn Marie Huff, sisters Bea (Jim) O'Brien, Nettie (Sherman) Smith and Kay (Katey) Meadows, a special niece, Ruby Anna Marie �Little Jackass� Bartlett and numerous nieces and nephews, brother and sister-in-laws, Caroline Germany, Andy Tuxhorn, Max (Linda) Tuxhorn, Elmer (Sue) Tuxhorn, and Jane (Ron) Roberts.

A Love Fund to help with expenses has been set up.
