John Albert McQuigg Jr.

John Albert McQuigg Jr.
December 5, 1959 ~ August 28, 2020

John Albert McQuigg Jr., age 60, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2020 in Durant, Oklahoma. John was born to John McQuigg Sr. and Donna Thomas in Tucson, Arizona on December 5, 1959. He attended Flowing Wells School in Tucson and later moved to Chico, Texas. He married Pam Snider on April 1, 1978 in York Valley, AZ.

John was an award winning Blast hole driller, he worked as a miner in his younger years but he was a Jack of All Trades, he could make and do anything you would ask him to.

In 2010 John and Pam moved to Durant, OK and called it home. He loved fishing and time with his family and friends.

John is preceded in death by his father John McQuigg Sr., His step dad Roger Taylor, his sister Kimberly McQuigg, his Uncle Sunny, Aunt Peggy McQuigg, and his cousin Big John McQuigg.

He is survived by the love of his life, Pam of the home, his wonderful mother Donna Taylor of Chico TX. His five “made with all the love in the world” children: Summer Counts of Chico, Tx, son John McQuigg III and wife Melissa of Mead, OK, his daughter Kimberly McQuigg of Durant, OK, his son Charlie McQuigg of Durant, OK, and son Travis McQuigg of Durant, OK. His brothers/ Best Friends: Jeff McQuigg of Chico, TX, Pres McQuigg and wife Dianne of Chico, TX, Andy McQuigg and wife Patricia of Lincolnton, GA, and Charlie McQuigg and wife Melinda of Durant, OK, His wonderfully and beautifully made grandchildren: Dakota, Islee, Alyssa, Johnny, and Hudson. His precious beautiful nieces: Angel, Breanne, Haliee, Amanda, Mary and Elisa. His coolest of all cool nephews: Jeffery, Heath, Cody, Andrew, Tyler, Presley, Eric, Clint, Max and Shane.

John, Dad, Uncle John, Papa John, Fondu : you were a presence, not just a person. You were a presence put on this earth to create an amazing family and bring joy and laughter to every person you met, and you sure did do that. In our grief we are shaken by the totality of you. You had an unquestionable love for your family, friends, animals and music. You accepted everyone you would meet. You enjoyed being with people, hearing and telling funny stories and making people laugh. And oh boy was your laughter contagious. The stories that you gave everyone to keep and hold in their hearts or tell the world will go on forever. To say that you could fix things is an understatement, you had a way with your hands and if anyone ever got to hold those hands they would know how hard you worked but most importantly how much love you put into all the different things you did over the years. Though we want to be selfish out of love and have you back here on earth with us, we know God called you home so you can fish with two legs in heaven with your family there. Pretty sure God wants to hear those stories in person so keep them PG. God please be patient with him because he cannot help but to say “Boom Shakalaka” and sing Who Let The Dog’s, like a lot. One amazing thing we all do know is, God put you on this earth to touch so many people's lives so that we can continue where you left off. God gave us you to do that and we are all eternally grateful to Him. With all this said, there is not enough to be said about you, so until we see each other again just know you will be missed greatly and we got this.
With All Our Love,
Rest In Peace John Albert McQuigg Jr.
