Lillly Modean (Cone) McMillan
July 23, 1935 ~ August 3, 2017

The service celebrating and honoring the life of Modean McMillan, 82, of Enid will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday August 7, 2017 in the Southcrest Baptist Church of Lubbock, Texas with Pastors Dudley Bristow and David Wilson co-officiating. The graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday August 8, 2017 in the Lubbock City Cemetery.

The family will receive guests in the Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock from 2:00 – 4:00 Sunday August 6, 2017.

Lillly Modean was born to Luther and Vela Cone in Tingle, NM on July 23, 1935 and went to her heavenly home on August 3, 2017 in Enid, OK.

She was raised in Fencelake, NM; Grants, NM and then Lubbock, TX where she graduated from Lubbock High School in 1954.  

She married Otis McMillan, Jr. on February 24, 1956 in Lubbock, TX.

She worked for the U.S.D.A Cotton Office first as a cotton miker and then after further field specific education she became a cotton classer. She travelled to several different states classing cotton.

In 1975, her and Otis moved to Farwell, TX where she later worked for the A.S.C.S Office. She retired in 1996 and her and Otis returned to Lubbock, TX where they enjoyed their beloved grandchildren and held cousin camp every summer.

She was a very active member of Southcrest Baptist Church.  She was always taking care of people including her family and friends.

She is survived by son, Gary McMillan (Ana) of Miami, FL; daughters, Sandra Hutchcraft (Randy) of Enid, OK and Melinda Bonner (Jim) of Clovis, NM; D'Ann Clements (Dennis) of Lubbock, TX; Grandchildren, Lana Flores (Daniel), Jennifer McMillan, Lane McMillan, Ashley Hutchcraft, Amanda Hutchcraft, Bethany Rush (Tanner), Tyler Bonner, Travis Clements (Leah), Cory and Hayli Riney (Derek); Great-Grandchildren, Nadia, Sid and Clara Flores and Reeslyn Riney; Sister, Nola Green of Elgin, TX and numerous beloved family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings Norma Sue Arnold, L.J. Cone, Bobby Cone and Carolyn Vaughan and numerous beloved family members.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's association or to the Southcrest Baptist Church with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
