Peggy (Sanders) McKenzie
June 8, 1943 ~ February 26, 2022

Peggy McKenzie, age 78, entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on February 26, 2022. Peggy was born to Ernest and Carrie Sanders on June 8, 1943, in Delta, Texas. she graduated from Cobb High School, and she worked as an accountant. Peggy was a Christian woman and a member of Streetman Road Baptist Church. She was married to Gary McKenzie for 20 years. She loved her family time; her hobbies were crossword puzzles and coloring.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest Albert Sanders and Carrie Ello Sanders. Her sister Geraldine Webb and her son Todd Lawson.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband Gary McKenzie of the home. Her sons Jeff Lawson and wife Jamie of Durant. Cory Lawson of Durant and “Brownie” Eric Browning Rowland and wife Alesha of Durant. Her grandchildren Amber, Amanda, Brandon, Kristen, Jake, Maci, and Malorie. And great-grandkids Shelby, Hayden, Kollin, and Mollie. Her sister Ethel Stone of Odessa, Texas. Special nieces Sherry & Nancy, as well as many other nieces & nephews.

Peggy’s wishes were to be cremated there are no services scheduled at this time. Online condolences can be made at www.brownsfuneralservice.com
